Product Description
Colostrum is the first milk produced after birth. It is high in protein, much of which is immunoglobulin. Immunoglobulins provide immunity against pathogenic micro-organisms such as bacteria and viruses. Most animals are born without immunity and initially acquire their immunoglobulins from colostrum. Newborns that do not receive colostrum have a weakened immune system and increased risk of infection and mortality.
Impact should be fed as soon as possible after birth, and preferably before milk is fed. Impact may be absorbed for several days after birth, depending on the species, but is most effective in the first 12 hours. Newborns that have not received maternal colostrum should receive at least 2 doses of Impact within 48 hours of birth.
Instructions for use
Weigh the animal and select the appropriate weight range from the feeding guide. Thoroughly mix the amounts of Impact powder and warm, pre-boiled water. An electric whisk may be used for larger quantities. Prepared Impact may be kept refrigerated for one day, or stored frozen for up to 2 weeks.

Frequently Asked Questions
See our FAQs below, If you can’t find the answer you’re looking for, feel free to contact us and we’ll get back to you shortly.
Q: What is Impact Colostrum used for?
A: Impact is a high-protein colostrum supplement used to provide essential immunoglobulins to newborn animals who have not received adequate colostrum from their mother.
Q: Why is colostrum important?
A: Colostrum contains immunoglobulins that help protect newborns from bacteria and viruses. Without it, their immune systems are underdeveloped and they are at higher risk of infection.
Q: When should Impact be given?
A: It should be fed as soon as possible after birth, ideally within the first 12 hours. Newborns without access to maternal colostrum should receive at least two doses within 48 hours.
Q: How do I prepare Impact Colostrum?
A: Mix the recommended amount of powder with warm, pre-boiled water. Stir to a smooth consistency. For larger volumes, an electric whisk may help.
Q: Can I store prepared Impact?
A: Yes. Prepared colostrum can be refrigerated for up to one day, or frozen for up to two weeks. Once thawed, discard any unused portion.
Q: What pack sizes are available?
A: Impact Colostrum is available in 25 g, 100 g, 250 g, and 500 g sizes.
Q: Can Impact be used for all species?
A: While suitable for many species, always check with a vet for specific dosing and suitability based on the animal’s breed and weight.
