Karo Light Corn Syrup is a reliable ingredient for home-based bakers and also used by many breeders.
Karo Light Corn Syrup is a high-quality high-fructose corn syrup produced in the United States and recognized for its pale color and silky texture. Karo Light Corn Syrup's "lightness" refers to its fine, transparent appearance rather than its flavor, which makes it perfect for dishes with a delicate sweetness and enticing texture.
Not only is this syrup a sweetener, but it's also a key component of the Leerburg Formula, a well-known feeding method that breeders employ to meet the nutritional demands of puppies. By supplying a rapid and easily digestible energy source, Karo Light Corn Syrup has established itself as a mainstay for breeders all over the world.
Karo Light Corn Syrup is a must for breeders, home cooks, and pet owners due to its high quality, dependability, and diverse applications. Produced in the United States.
What is the Leerburgh Formula?
The popular homemade puppy formula known as the Leerburg Formula is intended to give young puppies vital nutrients, especially when the mother is unable to feed them or if she doesnt produce enough milk.. The recipe, which was developed by Ed Frawley of Leerburg Kennels, is used by many breeders and is especially beneficial for pups who are underweight or need more help during their early years. Note: Prior to using homemade formulas, it is important to speak with a veterinarian, as each puppy has unique needs.
Leerburg Formula Recipe
- 10 oz. of canned unsweetened evaporated milk OR whole goat's milk
- 3 oz. sterilized water
Use baby water OR boiled water that is then cooled. This is NOT needed if using whole goat's milk. - 1 raw egg yolk
- 1 cup of plain yogurt
Avoid skim or fat-free if at all possible.
- 1/2 tsp Karo corn syrup
Directions
- Place ingredients in a blender and blend or use a wire whisk. Be careful to not over blend and create a milkshake full of bubbles. We don't want bubbles in the puppys tummy or the tube we are using to feed the puppy.
