How to Weigh
We recommend weighing at the same time each day for the first two weeks. Weighing both before and after a feed for the first few days can help confirm if the pups are getting enough milk or formula.
- Turn the scales on
- Place a soft small microfibre hand towel on the tray to ensure the puppy or kitten feels comfortable and secure once placed on it.
- Tare the scale: Press the "tare" or "zero" button. The display will reset to zero, ignoring the weight of the microfibre towel.
- Place the puppy or kitten on the tray: Gently place the puppy or kitten on the tray and ensure they are as still as possible to get an accurate reading.
- Read and record the weight: Read the weight displayed and record it in grams for the most accurate tracking.
- Repeat for each puppy or kitten: Make sure the scale is reset to zero before weighing the next puppy.
