Vetbond Tissue Adhesive

Vetbond Tissue Adhesive for minor skin wounds is a veterinary tissue adhesive used to close minor skin wounds on animals. It does this quickly and conveniently, often eliminating the need for sutures and/or bandages.

What it is and how it works

• Cyanoacrylate adhesive: Vetbond is a fast-acting liquid adhesive that bonds wound edges together.
• Polymerizes quickly: It sets in seconds upon contact with the moisture from the wound, creating a strong bond.
• Blue dye: The blue colouring helps with visibility, ensuring a more precise and accurate application.
• Flexible and waterproof: It is designed to remain flexible as the animal moves and forms a waterproof seal to protect the wound. 

Uses and Contraindications

• Commonly used for: Closing small lacerations, surgical incisions (like those from spays and neuters), and other minor wounds. 
  
• Not for all wounds: It is not suitable for deep, infected, or bite wounds, nor for large areas of skin under tension. 
  
• Veterinary-specific: The formulation is specifically for animals and should not be used on humans.
