• A synthetic replica of the Dog Appeasing Pheromone that mother dogs emit to puppies to reassure them and reinforce the attachment with their mother
• The pheromone is odourless to people and other animals and can only be perceived by dogs
• Pheromones are detected by the vomeronasal organ, VNO, located in the palate of the mouth of a dog. From this point, receptors relay information to the emotional centres of the brain, which brings about physiological and behavioural changes for the dog
• Detecting and responding to the pheromone is an automatic completely unconscious process that requires no control or previous learning by the dog

The Adaptil Calm Home Diffuser is designed to release the Adaptil pheromone into your dog’s environment. It covers an area of 50-70m2 when used correctly. For it to be most effective ensure that windows and doors are closed, and the diffuser is left on continuously.

Directions

Each diffuser vial lasts for aproximately 4 weeks before it needs to be replaced. Avoid placing the diffuser behind furniture, doors or curtains or underneath shelves as this can make it less effective. Active Area 50 to 70 Square Meters
