Lectade Oral Rehydration Sachets
Lectade (sachets) are an oral rehydration powder for dehydrated dogs and cats.

Lectade contains a balanced mixture of Glucose, Glycine and Electrolytes and is antibiotic free.
Once diluted, Lectade Solution is isotonic which means glucose and glycine are actively absorbed by the intestinal tract allowing both water and Sodium to be absorbed at the same time resulting in a high degree of rehydration in scouring and dehydrated animals. It can be administered in conjunction with antibiotics.

Packaging
Each individual sachet has 2 separate sections - Part A and Part B of which both must be used together to make up the solution.
Each individual 64g - (2 part) sachet makes 2 litres of Lectade solution.
To make 2 Litres of solution:
Add the contents of section A to the contents of Section B to 2 Litres of warm water. Stir until dissolved.
To prepare 500mls of Lectade solution:
Add 1 level 5ml medicine spoonful of powder from Section A to 3 heaped spoonfuls of powder from Section B. Stir until dissolved.
Always prepare fresh solution daily and refrigerate the remainder.
Dosages
Dogs and Cats
Most dogs will will find Lectade quite palatable so will drink it voluntarily. If not, you can administer Lectade via a syringe. Palatability for cats is variable so a syringe may be necessary.
The following dosages are recommended to be given 2 - 3 times daily.
